Ala Costa’s Adult Transition [ACAT] program serves students ages 18-22 with developmental disabilities from the Berkeley Unified School District and North Region SELPA. ACAT is a person-centered, community based program which focuses on self-determination skills, vocational skills, and community integration.
BAS offers an art exploration class for Ala Costa participants on Thursdays. Stay tuned for an added vocational skills class.
Alzheimer’s Services of the East Bay

The mission of ASEB (Alzheimer’s Services of the East Bay) is to provide services to individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementia; provide support to their caregivers; and educate and inform the general community about issues related to dementia care.
BAS offers Mental Fitness on Tuesday and Communication Skills on Wednesday.

Building Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency (BOSS)

BOSS is an organization committed to helping homeless, poor and disabled people in Alameda County to achieve health and self sufficiency. Access to housing, employment, and good health are basic human rights. BOSS believes that people also have the right—and the responsibility—to stand up and demand changes to policies which restrict or deny those rights. Founded in 1971, the Berkeley Creative Wellness Center (CWC) is a program for adults who have significant mental health problems. CWC provides socialization, rehabilitation and counseling services to clients – who are called members in this clubhouse model program.
